Harris brings a background rooted in U.S. military aerospace electronics and cryptography to the Fort Lauderdale-based firm. At Paradox Data, he oversaw the development of immersion-cooled environments and modular data center designs, focusing on grid-integrated operations. His expertise with GPU, FPGA, and ASIC-based systems is expected to bolster Z Squared’s "acquire-and-convert" model, which seeks to turn existing power sites into specialized colocation facilities.

CEO David Halabu cited the appointment as a tactical advantage for the company’s scaling efforts. Harris, who is continuing his technical studies at Cornell University, noted that addressing power and cooling constraints remains his primary focus. The transition follows Z Squared’s Nasdaq listing in April 2026, marking a significant step in the company's shift away from its legacy reliance on digital asset mining toward the broader AI compute market.
