The league plans to deploy these funds to broaden its reach through original content and expanded youth programs. A core priority includes the development of the Women’s Lacrosse League, marking a strategic push to diversify the organization’s footprint. Jim Miller, co-head of Ares Sports, Media and Entertainment, will join the board of directors to oversee this transition.

This round brings significant institutional weight to the eight-team league, which already counts The Chernin Group, The Raine Group, and Creative Artists Agency among its existing supporters. By integrating capital from industry giants like Disney’s ESPN, the league aims to transition from a niche athletic venture into a broader media and entertainment player.
