RISCPoint Founder Jake Nix Joins AICPA National Council

Nix begins a three-year term tasked with steering the strategic direction of the nation’s largest accounting organization, which represents over 430,000 finance professionals. His appointment to the 265-member council recognizes his contributions to the field at both the state and national levels, filling a seat allocated specifically to Ohio based on membership density. During his tenure, he will assist in drafting policy positions and navigating the profession’s response to shifting industry demands.

Reflecting on his new role, Nix noted that he intends to leverage his 15-year history with the Ohio Society of CPAs to bridge traditional accounting practices with emerging technical sectors. RISCPoint, his cybersecurity and compliance firm, focuses on framework navigation for clients dealing with SOC, FedRAMP, and HIPAA requirements. Nix’s appointment highlights the ongoing integration of specialized cybersecurity expertise into the broader accounting and financial governing landscape.
