Columbus McKinnon Names John R. Linker as New CFO

Charlotte-based motion solutions provider Columbus McKinnon Corporation has appointed John R. Linker as its new Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2026. Linker, who succeeds Gregory P. Rustowicz, will report directly to President and CEO David J. Wilson as the company pushes forward with its growth strategy.

Linker joins the company following a tenure as CFO at Husky Technologies Limited, where he focused on margin expansion and earnings performance. His background includes executive roles at Serta Simmons Bedding LLC and JELD-WEN Holding, Inc., where he played a central role in the company's 2017 initial public offering. Wilson noted that Linker’s two decades of industrial manufacturing experience will be instrumental in accelerating the company’s current transformation phase.

Alongside the leadership transition, the company confirmed its fiscal year 2027 guidance, which was originally disclosed on June 4, 2026. Wilson expressed appreciation for the fifteen-year tenure of the outgoing CFO, Gregory P. Rustowicz. Linker stated he intends to work closely with the existing leadership team to maintain the company’s market position in intelligent motion solutions and material handling technologies.
