Apple Preps Early 2025 Push for New iPad and MacBook Pro Models

Four upcoming iPad Pro variants and an entry-level MacBook Pro are currently in development, with Apple targeting a release window in the first half of next year. The push includes the debut of the M7 processor, marking a significant hardware refresh as the company navigates ongoing supply chain volatility.

Development on the new tablets focuses on integrating faster chips to maintain the product line's performance edge. Alongside these, the company is refining an entry-level MacBook Pro, internally designated as K104. This specific model aims to bridge the gap between high-end professional hardware and the more experimental, A18-powered devices like the MacBook Neo released earlier this year.

These product cycles coincide with a period of strategic transition for Apple. The organization faces mounting pressure from supply chain constraints that have already driven significant price adjustments, including a $300 jump for the 1TB MacBook Pro, which rose from $1,699 to $1,999. By diversifying its hardware offerings with more accessible pro-tier devices, Apple seeks to stabilize its market position while preparing for long-term leadership changes. Apple declined to provide comment on the specific development timelines.
