Arcturus Therapeutics Partners with Thermo Fisher for Cystic Fibrosis Drug

Arcturus Therapeutics shares climbed 5.8% to $7.29 in premarket trading Thursday following the announcement of a strategic partnership with Thermo Fisher Scientific. The collaboration aims to accelerate the Phase 3 development and eventual commercialization of ARCT-032, an investigational mRNA therapy designed to treat cystic fibrosis.

Under the terms of the agreement, Thermo Fisher will provide comprehensive manufacturing, clinical research, and support services to fast-track the drug's path through late-stage trials. While Arcturus retains control over the broader program development, the deal grants Thermo Fisher exclusive commercial manufacturing rights, contingent upon the therapy receiving necessary regulatory approvals. This move builds on a positive year for Arcturus, as the stock had already posted a 12% gain by the close of markets on Wednesday.
