CU SoCal Hosts Give Kids A Smile Day for Fullerton Youth

Nearly 200 children at the Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton received a surprise treat as Credit Union of Southern California (CU SoCal) brought a Kona Ice truck to the facility. The event served as the latest collaboration between the credit union and the local organization to support community youth.

The initiative, part of the CU SoCal CARES program, involved a team visit to the Fullerton-based club to coordinate the giveaway. Shirley Ramirez, Chief Operating Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fullerton, noted the impact of the visit on the children despite the summer heat. This project marks the third of six community events planned by the credit union for the year.

Melissa Manning, VP of Business & Talent Development at CU SoCal, emphasized that these outreach efforts are central to the organization's mission of fostering local connections. The credit union, founded in 1954, currently manages over $4 billion in assets and serves more than 187,000 members across its service regions.
