The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed an average of eight violent incidents per day throughout October. These attacks, often targeting agricultural land and livelihoods, have resulted in over 140 injuries and the destruction of more than 4,200 trees. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported 704 total attacks this year, yet human rights groups frequently cite evidence of military complicity or direct participation in the raids.
In one recent escalation, masked settlers burned farmland and the al-Junaidi dairy factory near the village of Beit Lid. Witnesses reported that soldiers hindered emergency responders from reaching the fires. Journalists documenting these events have also become targets, with the Foreign Press Association condemning the systemic intimidation of media personnel. Despite the scale of the violence, settler leaders like Daniella Weiss continue to deny the existence of such assaults, citing ideological claims over documented evidence.
