Currently the Vice President of Hospitality Operations at Oak View Group, Lyon oversees food and beverage logistics at Chicago’s McCormick Place, the largest convention facility in the Western Hemisphere.

Lyon’s professional trajectory spans decades of service, moving from early foundational work to managing complex, large-scale events. His tenure at McCormick Place serves as a testament to his ability to blend organizational leadership with a strict focus on guest satisfaction. Colleagues and industry peers highlight his consistency in building high-performing teams, a skill set that has earned him accolades including the 2017 Rookie of the Year Award from Centerplate and the 2019 National Account of the Year Award from Sodexo. He also holds the Naval Achievement Medal, reflecting a commitment to discipline that has permeated his civilian career.

Following his upcoming departure from his executive post at Oak View Group, Lyon intends to pivot toward independent consulting and business coaching.
