Publix Recalls GreenWise Frozen Blueberries Over E. Coli Outbreak

The Food and Drug Administration confirmed the recall of 10-ounce bags of frozen blueberries produced by Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. The affected batch carries lot number 60401 with a best-by date of Feb. 9, 2028. Health officials identified the link after interviews with nine patients revealed that seven had consumed frozen blueberries, with five explicitly identifying the GreenWise organic variety.

Distribution for the recalled bags spanned eight states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Consumers who purchased these products should verify the lot number on their packaging and discard any matching inventory to avoid further exposure to the pathogen.
