TeamViewer introduces natural language scripting for IT automation

IT teams can now generate custom automation scripts simply by describing technical issues in plain language, following the launch of Tia Scripting within TeamViewer’s Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platform. The tool removes the requirement for specialized coding expertise, allowing for rapid deployment of bespoke device management solutions.

TeamViewer introduces natural language scripting for IT automation

Traditional automation tools often rely on rigid, generalized playbooks that fail to account for the unique configurations and compliance demands of specific corporate environments. Tia Scripting addresses this by allowing administrators to articulate particular failure modes or security requirements, resulting in tailored scripts ready for immediate review and rollout. Whether verifying security certificates, locking down software changes, or remediating connectivity issues, the platform generates code that can be standardized and reused across an entire device estate.

Sebastian Schrötel, Senior Vice President of Product Management at TeamViewer, noted that the move is intended to push IT operations toward autonomous endpoint management. By shifting away from one-size-fits-all templates, the platform enables organizations to capture and apply knowledge from previous fixes, effectively reducing the time spent resolving recurring technical bottlenecks. As device landscapes grow more complex, this capability to transform plain-language descriptions into functional, deployable code serves as a practical response to the increasing demand for specialized, scalable IT administration.
