Vascular Perfusion Solutions Appoints Dr. Hassan Tetteh as Board Chair
As Vascular Perfusion Solutions prepares for its inaugural first-in-human clinical trials, the medical device company has named thoracic surgeon and retired Navy Captain Dr. Hassan A. Tetteh as Chairman of its Board of Directors to steer the development of its portable organ-preservation technology.
CEO Dr. Rafael J. Veraza noted that Tetteh’s appointment serves as a critical milestone as the company scales its grant-funded research and refines the VP.S ENCORE platform. The system, which received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in 2021, aims to extend the viability of donor organs through hypothermic oxygenated perfusion.
