Pokeworks Consolidates Texas Presence as Franchise Pipeline Tightens

With nearly every major Texas market sold out to franchise partners, the fast-casual brand Pokeworks is recalibrating its growth strategy. The Irvine-based company now aims to solidify its footprint in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area while balancing 14 active development projects across the state and beyond.

Pokeworks Consolidates Texas Presence as Franchise Pipeline Tightens

The brand currently operates 26 locations across Texas, supported by 11 franchisees who demonstrate significant commitment to the model. Data indicates that approximately 90% of these partners are multi-unit operators, a trend the company credits to consistent regional demand for customizable, health-conscious meals. Six additional sites are currently under construction in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso, following a recent opening in The Woodlands this June.

Peter Yang, co-founder and head of development, noted that the rapid absorption of available markets reflects operator confidence. To sustain this trajectory, the company is scouting real estate for both traditional and non-traditional venues, including airports, university campuses, and mixed-use developments. While territory availability is limited elsewhere, the brand is prioritizing new franchise recruitment specifically within the Dallas-Fort Worth region to meet remaining expansion goals.
