Main Street Smiles Brings Non-Invasive TMJ Relief to Barrington

Barrington residents struggling with chronic jaw pain now have a non-surgical option as Main Street Smiles becomes the first suburban Chicago practice to deploy Emface technology. The system, which combines radiofrequency heat with muscle stimulation, aims to alleviate TMJ dysfunction while simultaneously delivering facial aesthetic rejuvenation.

Main Street Smiles Brings Non-Invasive TMJ Relief to Barrington

For Dr. Amar Pattani, the practice owner and a graduate of Northwestern University, the integration of this technology marks a shift in how dental offices handle facial discomfort. Rather than relying on traditional invasive methods, Emface targets the specific muscles responsible for jaw tension, headaches, and limited range of motion. By relaxing these overworked areas and improving local blood flow, patients may find relief from TMJ symptoms alongside visible improvements in skin tone and collagen production.

The practice is also rolling out Exion, a secondary treatment designed to boost the body’s natural production of elastin and hyaluronic acid. Dr. Pattani notes that finding a single procedure capable of addressing both functional health and cosmetic appearance is rare in dentistry. To showcase these capabilities, Main Street Smiles will host a public launch event on July 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at their 312 W. Main St. location, featuring live demonstrations and specialized consultations for prospective patients.
