Policy shifts have deepened the strain on family budgets. The administration’s decision to terminate the SAVE student loan program, coupled with the removal of renewable energy tax credits, has contributed to a 6.4% spike in average utility bills. While the White House focuses on the expansion of energy-intensive AI data centers and military protection, 54% of the public reports that neither major political party offers a credible solution to their financial instability.
