The integration leverages Jack Henry’s multi-rail technology, allowing the credit union to keep transaction traffic within its own ecosystem. By streamlining the process to a few taps, the institution aims to increase digital engagement and solidify its position as the primary financial partner for its members.

Webster First Federal Credit Union integrates Jack Henry’s Payrailz
Worcester-based Webster First Federal Credit Union has overhauled its digital payments infrastructure by embedding the Payrailz Pay a Person tool directly into its banking app. This move allows members to execute peer-to-peer transfers using only a recipient’s mobile number, bypassing the need for third-party fintech applications.

Transactions between internal accounts and standard ACH transfers remain free. For users requiring immediate access to funds, the system supports instant payments via the RTP and FedNow rails for a flat $2.50 fee. This pricing model offers a transparent alternative to the percentage-based structures frequently utilized by standalone P2P providers. Tede Forman, president of Jack Henry Payment Solutions, noted that the platform supports a wide range of users, from small businesses managing cash flow to individual consumers seeking faster transaction speeds.
