Unseenlabs Pivots to Multi-Domain Intelligence with Gen 2 Satellites

The launch of the 150 kg BRO-31 satellite marks a significant industrial departure for the Rennes-based firm, which previously relied on a fleet of 15 kg nanosatellites. While the company retains its signature monosatellite architecture—where each unit functions independently—the new hardware provides a ten-fold increase in mass and a substantial leap in technical reach. By broadening its spectrum coverage to include L, S, C, X, and Ku-bands, Unseenlabs aims to capture a wider array of signals for both civilian and defense clients.

Clément Galic, co-founder and CEO, stated that this evolution unlocks new geolocation and characterization potential for global customers. With the current constellation now totaling 23 satellites, the Gen 2 series adds strategic depth for users tracking spectrum interference or monitoring defense systems. The company, which maintains a workforce of 140 employees with offices in France, Singapore, and the U.S., plans to continue integrating these microsatellites to support increasingly complex geopolitical and operational requirements.
