Envision Energy and ju:niz Launch 140 MWh Storage Sites in Germany

The collaboration centers on two primary installations: the 88.4 MWh S10 site in Baindt and the 52.2 MWh S15 site in Schöningen. As the developer and operator, ju:niz manages the regulatory and technical integration, while Envision provides the hardware. Their joint solution features four-hour duration storage and grid-forming capabilities, designed to manage the fluctuations inherent in renewable energy networks.

Henry Peng, president of Envision’s Europe and Latin America divisions, noted that these sites serve as a blueprint for the company's broader expansion across the continent. By leveraging AI-powered systems, the technology adapts to varying grid conditions in both northern and southern Germany. Dr. Thomas Stephanblome, CEO of ju:niz, emphasized that the project reflects a growing need for advanced infrastructure to support the next phase of the German energy transition, providing a scalable model for future storage deployments throughout the European market.
