Natural Grocers to Open Second South Dakota Location in Rapid City
Natural Grocers will expand its footprint in South Dakota on July 22, 2026, with the opening of a new store in Rapid City. Located at 855 Omaha Street, the facility marks the company’s second location in the state, aiming to serve both local residents and visitors traveling toward the Black Hills region.

Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing at Natural Grocers, noted that the company selected Rapid City for its vibrant downtown and its role as a gateway to the region. The store features sustainable building upgrades, including 100% LED lighting and non-toxic materials. Through August 31, the location will host a series of discounts on organic produce and pantry staples, alongside exclusive pricing for {N}power rewards members. The company also intends to support local food security efforts long-term by donating five cents for every customer who brings a reusable shopping bag.
