The GFI Agent integrates directly into Plenful’s existing MFP Intelligence platform, targeting the administrative burden created by Good Faith Inquiry (GFI) submissions. Under current federal requirements, pharmacies must file these disputes within 120 days of a remittance notice, a deadline that creates significant operational friction for high-volume health systems. By automating the link between wholesaler EDI feeds, invoice retrieval, and manufacturer requests, the software eliminates the need for staff to manually track individual claims.

Plenful Launches AI Agent to Automate Pharmacy Refund Recovery
Since the Maximum Fair Price mandate took effect in January, pharmacy teams have struggled to track missing refunds, with nearly 20% of expected claims slipping through the cracks. Plenful’s new GFI Agent aims to replace these manual, labor-intensive reconciliation processes with autonomous submission and reporting workflows.

Beyond simple submission, the system provides a centralized dashboard where teams can monitor the status of every refund in real-time. It flags denied inquiries with specific manufacturer rationales and updates payment statuses against 835 remittance data. According to Plenful CEO Joy Liu, early adopters of the technology are reclaiming up to five weeks of staff time annually—hours previously lost to reconciliation that can now be redirected toward core pharmacy operations.
