Nova Compression Scales South Texas Operations With EGC Acquisition
Nova Compression has finalized the acquisition of Corpus Christi-based Energy Gas Compression, Inc., a deal that adds 58,500 horsepower to its existing fleet. Closing July 3, the transaction secures Nova’s foothold in the Eagle Ford Basin and integrates EGC’s long-standing service contracts and technical staff into its regional network.
Financial backing for the expansion was provided by an asset-based lending facility led by J.P. Morgan, with support from Bank OZK, First Citizens Bank, and Sunflower Bank. Shareholders OIC LP and Hoak & Co. continued their investment in the firm to facilitate the growth. Legal counsel for the acquisition was provided by Hall Estill LLP, while Foley & Lardner LLP advised on the transaction financing. Nova currently serves producers across six states, including Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, with a compression portfolio ranging from 100 to 3,000 horsepower.
