A $25,000 grant will support the American Red Cross Northwest Chapter, while the remaining $5,000 aids the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. These organizations have been critical in providing shelter, meals, and relief supplies since the storms hit. According to the Red Cross, relief workers have already facilitated over 350 overnight shelter stays and distributed more than 2,600 meals to those impacted by the severe weather.

Beyond financial support, Indiana American Water employees have mobilized their own resources to assist in the cleanup. Teams utilized company backhoes, dump trucks, and pumps to clear downed trees and debris, working alongside Lake County Emergency Management to restore road access. For many of the volunteers, the recovery mission is personal; they live in the affected areas and continued to maintain water infrastructure throughout the storms even while their own neighborhoods faced significant power outages and structural damage.
