PreludeDx and Learn Look Locate Partner to Demystify DCIS Treatment

Patients facing a ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) diagnosis often struggle to navigate complex treatment paths while processing initial clinical results. A new collaboration between diagnostic firm PreludeDx and the education platform Learn Look Locate aims to bridge this information gap with a specialized, patient-centered guide on radiation therapy decisions.

PreludeDx and Learn Look Locate Partner to Demystify DCIS Treatment

The guide, titled "Do I Need Radiation If I Have DCIS? A Complete, Patient-Centered Guide to Making the Right Decision for You," serves as a roadmap for women evaluating their post-lumpectomy options. It breaks down the nuances of recurrence risk and the function of DCISionRT, a molecular test developed by PreludeDx that estimates a patient’s 10-year risk profile to help tailor treatment plans.

Dr. Barry Rosen, a breast surgeon and senior medical advisor for Learn Look Locate, noted that integrating molecular data into the decision-making process provides a necessary layer of clarity for patients. By offering a structured way to evaluate individual risk, the partners hope to move beyond standard protocols toward more personalized clinical conversations. The resource is currently available online, offering patients a framework to discuss specific diagnostic insights with their care teams.
