London to Host Inaugural Global Summit on Regulatory Science
The Drug Information Association and the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency have announced a high-level summit scheduled for November 16-17, 2026. The London event aims to bridge the gap between rapid therapeutic innovation and the evolving demands of patient safety within an increasingly complex global health landscape.

Organizers have appointed a 14-member Program Committee featuring experts from Merck, AstraZeneca, GSK, and the MHRA to steer the agenda. The two-day program will focus on modernizing clinical research, utilizing real-world evidence, and accelerating access to treatments for rare diseases. By combining DIA’s global reach with the MHRA’s regulatory mandate, the initiative intends to move beyond traditional dialogue to produce actionable policy outputs for international health systems.
