Lindsey Graham Targets Cuba Following Strikes on Iran

Graham, appearing on Fox News, praised Trump as the "gold standard" for Republican foreign policy, claiming the president has successfully finished tasks his predecessors could not. The senator pointed to the recent abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro as evidence of a winning strategy, asserting that the revolutionary government in Havana is the next in line to fall. "This communist dictatorship in Cuba, their days are numbered," Graham said.

These comments arrive while administration officials suggest Trump feels empowered by current military campaigns in Iran and Venezuela, despite his earlier campaign promises to avoid new wars. In January, the White House issued an executive order labeling Cuba an "unusual and extraordinary threat" to national security, a move that tightened existing trade restrictions and further strained the island's fuel supplies. Should the administration authorize military action against Havana, it would mark the 11th country attacked during Trump’s presidency, following operations in locations ranging from Yemen to Somalia.
