Nammos Resort Montenegro Set to Transform Budva Riviera by 2029

Ten minutes from the iconic Sveti Stefan, a new luxury destination is taking shape on the Montenegrin coast as Nammos Hotels & Resorts joins forces with Smokva Bay. The project, slated for completion in 2029, aims to blend high-end Mediterranean hospitality with a sprawling, integrated lifestyle complex along the Budva Riviera.

The development will feature 117 keys, split between 47 hotel suites, 61 branded residences, and 9 private villas. Architects are prioritizing a design language that bridges coastal heritage with modern, light-filled aesthetics. Beyond the living quarters, the site includes Nammos Village, a curated space for high-end retail, art installations, and wellness facilities, complemented by mountain biking and hiking trails for outdoor enthusiasts.

Dining remains a focal point of the strategy. The resort will anchor its culinary offerings with a signature Nammos Restaurant, supported by the Nalu Mediterranean concept, the Ilios Lounge, and a rooftop bar overlooking the Adriatic. To generate momentum before the grand opening, the group has launched an exclusive pop-up restaurant at Sveti Stefan for the 2026 season.

Petros Stathis, Chairman of Nammos, described the project as a new chapter for the brand, while Smokva Bay CEO Fredrik Jonsson noted that the partnership was chosen to establish a fresh standard for luxury hospitality in the region. The project represents a significant expansion for the Nammos portfolio, aiming to capture the growing demand for branded, experience-driven travel in the Adriatic.
