The integration brings Nearmap’s high-resolution basemap to ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Enterprise users across the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. By serving as the default aerial layer, the update eliminates the need for extra logins or configurations, allowing users to tap into updated imagery every six to twelve months automatically.
Ray Savona, Chief Revenue Officer at Nearmap, noted that the partnership validates the scale of the company’s imagery program. For Esri, the move is about sharpening the analytical capabilities of its users. Richard Cooke, Esri’s Corporate Director of Global Business Development, stated that the addition of Nearmap’s metro imagery provides a higher-resolution foundation that enhances situational awareness and planning efficiency.
