Shenzhen-based manufacturer ZUERST has secured over 40 patents to address a chronic industry flaw: the tendency for laptop stands to lose their grip and stability over time. By shifting focus from minor aesthetic tweaks to proprietary folding mechanisms, the company aims to solidify its position in North American and European markets.

The company’s latest release, the X90 laptop stand, serves as the primary testing ground for this intellectual property strategy. As the fourth iteration of the X-Series, the device utilizes a damping adjustment mechanism and a three-axis tilt system. To combat the common "loose-stand" problem found in low-cost alternatives, ZUERST subjected the X90 to 15,000 folding fatigue cycles. Constructed from aluminum alloy, the unit weighs 300 grams and supports devices ranging from 10 to 17 inches.

Beyond consumer retail, the firm is leveraging its patent density—comprised of two invention, 29 appearance, and nine utility model patents—to attract OEM partners seeking differentiated product lines. Founder Huifeng Chen notes that the core objective is to eliminate the traditional trade-off between affordability and long-term durability. Manufacturing processes, governed by ISO 9001 standards, rely on precision CNC machining and controlled injection molding to ensure structural consistency at scale. This technical infrastructure supports a broader expansion strategy as the company scales its ODM services for global office accessory brands.
