Philatron Launches High-Heat Silicone Production Line in Los Angeles

Operating in environments where standard insulation fails, Philatron Wire and Cable has installed a dedicated production line for high-heat silicone wire, cable, and specialized tubing. The facility aims to bolster domestic manufacturing for military and industrial clients facing extreme thermal and chemical stressors.

Philatron Launches High-Heat Silicone Production Line in Los Angeles

The new extrusion line addresses the specific vulnerabilities of traditional materials, which often degrade under constant flexing or intense temperature fluctuations. By bringing this production in-house, the California-based manufacturer provides components capable of maintaining structural and electrical integrity across a range of -60°C to over 200°C. These cables are designed to withstand ozone, UV radiation, and moisture, while offering self-extinguishing flame retardancy and high dielectric strength for heavy machinery and defense systems.

CEO Phil Ramos Jr. stated that the investment underscores a commitment to engineering excellence and full vertical integration. By handling production domestically, the company ensures adherence to MIL-SPEC standards and rigorous quality control for its partners in the aerospace and industrial sectors. Beyond wiring, the line produces specialized silicone tubing engineered to resist kinking and pressure deformation, filling a critical gap in the supply chain for fluid transport in harsh conditions.
