A Portable Platform Designed for Attic Safety

Working in an unfinished attic often requires balancing on precarious joists, a hazard an HVAC technician from Westminster, Maryland, aimed to resolve. His new invention, the Attic Portable Platform, provides a stable, temporary surface designed to eliminate the uncertainty and physical risk currently faced by trade workers and homeowners alike.

The device features a lightweight, compact frame that can be easily deployed in spaces lacking a permanent safety floor. By providing a secure footing, the platform allows service providers to focus on maintenance tasks rather than navigation. The inventor submitted the patent-pending design to the Baltimore office of InventHelp, where it is now being presented for licensing or sale to manufacturing partners.

Interested parties can review technical drawings and a prototype model by contacting the company’s Pittsburgh headquarters. The design is intended to serve as a standard utility for anyone frequently tasked with attic-based repairs, effectively bridging the gap between temporary workspace needs and long-term structural safety.
