The expansion signals a strategic move for the brand, which has established a footprint of over 130 locations across California and Arizona since its 2002 inception. North Texas diners can expect a menu centered on scratch-made favorites including BBQ Chicken, Kalbi Short Ribs, and Chicken Katsu, all served with the traditional accompaniments of rice and macaroni salad. The site also features a drive-thru, catering to the regional demand for convenient, made-to-order meals.

Joshua Liang, co-founder and CEO of Ono Hawaiian BBQ, described the move into the Dallas area as a long-awaited milestone for the company. To mark the opening, the restaurant will host a promotional event on July 24, offering buy-one-get-one-free deals throughout the day. The celebration also includes a giveaway featuring a trip to the OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beachcomber Hotel and tickets to Cirque du Soleil's ʻAuana, emphasizing the brand's attempt to weave Hawaiian hospitality into the local North Texas dining landscape.
