Berea Inventor Designs Battery-Backup Egg Incubator

A Berea, Kentucky, farmer has developed an automated egg incubator capable of running for 48 hours without grid power. Designed to prevent losses during severe weather, the device maintains stable temperature, humidity, and rotation settings even when local electrical infrastructure fails during storm-related outages.

Berea Inventor Designs Battery-Backup Egg Incubator

The patent-pending system, dubbed the Auto-Electric Incubator, addresses a recurring vulnerability for small-scale agricultural operations. By integrating a secondary power source, the unit bridges the gap during common electrical interruptions that typically jeopardize hatch rates. The inventor created the prototype specifically to mitigate the financial and biological risks associated with sudden power loss.

Currently managed by InventHelp, the technology is available for licensing or acquisition by manufacturers. The unit is designed for ease of use, prioritizing consistent environmental control for eggs. Interested parties can access technical drawings and a functional prototype model through the company’s Pittsburgh office.
