PixVerse Hits $2 Billion Valuation After $439 Million Funding Round

Singapore-based video generation startup PixVerse has secured $439 million in a Series C extension, pushing its total valuation past the $2 billion mark. The company, which specializes in AI-driven video and world-building models, plans to use the capital to scale its global enterprise reach and expand its research team.

PixVerse Hits $2 Billion Valuation After $439 Million Funding Round

Founded in 2023 by former ByteDance computer vision expert Wang Changhu and investment executive Jaden Xie, the firm has rapidly built a user base of 150 million registered accounts. Its platform provides a tiered model architecture: the V-Series for general consumers, the C-Series for professional film production, and the R-Series designed for complex world-building and gaming applications. The startup currently maintains 150 employees across offices in Singapore, Beijing, and Shanghai.

While competition in the generative video space intensifies—with rivals like Runway, Luma, and various domestic players like Kling AI vying for dominance—Xie argues that the company’s edge lies in its proprietary data-labeling techniques. Drawing on the team’s experience in building TikTok’s recommendation algorithms, PixVerse aims to differentiate its output quality rather than relying solely on raw data volume. With the new funding, the startup intends to accelerate its go-to-market strategy, bolstered by a strategic partnership with Alibaba to integrate its video generation features into broader enterprise workflows.
