The QUELL-CV trial is a randomized, double-blind study designed to establish optimal dosing for future Phase 3 development. BGE-102 distinguishes itself through its ability to penetrate the brain and engage a unique binding site, a profile that yielded significant hsCRP reductions during Phase 1 testing. BioAge Labs and its partner, HitGen, expect to release topline data from this proof-of-concept trial in the second half of 2026.

BioAge Labs Advances BGE-102 to Phase 2 Trial for Heart Health
BioAge Labs has administered the first dose of BGE-102 to a participant in the QUELL-CV clinical trial, a Phase 2 study evaluating the drug’s potential to reduce cardiovascular risk. This orally available NLRP3 inhibitor, born from HitGen’s DNA-Encoded Library technology, aims to provide a once-daily treatment for cardiometabolic disease.
HitGen CEO Dr. Jin Li noted that the transition to Phase 2 confirms the efficacy of their drug-discovery platform in addressing complex biological targets. Kristen Fortney, CEO of BioAge, added that the collaboration remains focused on leveraging these novel chemical starting points to expand their pipeline. HitGen, which has supported over 600 global partners since its founding, continues to provide the foundational technology behind the compound's development.
