Employees from American Crane & Equipment Corporation participated through their Hoist Up! outreach committee, dedicating their Friday evening to the assembly line. The effort produced batches of macaroni and cheese alongside apple cinnamon oatmeal. These supplies are slated for distribution via the Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank, with specific allocations reserved for the Reading School District to assist students throughout the upcoming academic year.

American Crane Employees Pack 250,000 Meals for Berks County Families
More than 500 volunteers converged at Penn State Berks on June 12 to mark a decade of the Big Cheese meal packaging event. Organized by the United Way of Berks County, the initiative mobilized local teams to produce 250,000 nutritionally fortified meals aimed at combating regional food insecurity.

Stephanie Delibertis, owner and executive director of outreach and development at American Crane, noted that the collaborative environment fosters both workplace motivation and civic responsibility. By integrating philanthropy into the corporate culture, the firm aims to sustain its long-term partnership with the United Way and local community partners to address hunger directly.
