A $50,000 donation from Philip Morris International’s U.S. businesses has arrived just as the Veterans Community Project celebrates the first anniversary of its Longmont village. This contribution brings the corporate partner’s total investment to $550,000 since 2024, fueling a mission to provide stable housing for those who served.
Nationally, the Veterans Community Project model claims an 85% success rate in transitioning residents into permanent housing. Lisa Rechsteiner, Senior Manager of Civil Society at PMI U.S., noted that the investment reflects a long-term commitment to the specific needs of service members. By combining private funding with specialized outreach, the project aims to scale its reach, ensuring that the Longmont village remains a functional bridge for Veterans navigating the path back to independent living.
