Trekor Metals Shares Surge on Copper Production Gains

Investors pushed Trekor Metals shares up 9.8% to C$10.94 in Tuesday morning trading, reacting to a strong quarterly performance that saw the Canadian miner successfully ramp up output across its North American sites, pushing the stock's year-to-date gains to 41%.

Trekor Metals Shares Surge on Copper Production Gains

The Gibraltar mine in British Columbia anchored the growth, delivering 30.3 million pounds of copper and 559,000 pounds of molybdenum during the second quarter. This output represents a notable uptick from the previous quarter, while copper sales climbed to 32.2 million pounds. Simultaneously, the Florence operation in Arizona accelerated production, yielding 5.2 million pounds of copper cathode following its mid-February launch.

Despite the production momentum, the company maintained its 2026 guidance. Gibraltar remains on track to produce between 110 million and 115 million pounds of copper, with the Florence site targeting an annual output of 30 million to 35 million pounds.
