Hycroft Mining Appoints Industry Veteran Michael Deal as COO
Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation has named Michael Deal as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective August 24, 2026. Deal joins the Nevada-based precious metals company with over two decades of experience in technical leadership and large-scale mine operation management across North America.
Hycroft CEO Diane Garrett emphasized that Deal’s specific background in building and managing sulfide processing systems is critical to the company's strategy. The firm is currently pivoting toward the next phase of operations at its Nevada site, with a particular focus on the high-grade Brimstone and Vortex silver systems. Deal holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a Qualified Person with the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration.
