Green Imaging Technologies Splits Executive Roles to Drive Expansion

Fredericton-based Green Imaging Technologies is restructuring its top leadership to separate commercial scaling from technical development. Effective July 15, 2026, former COO Norm Couturier steps into the CEO role, while company veteran Derrick Green shifts his focus exclusively to the firm’s technology roadmap as its new Chief Technology Officer.

The reorganization aims to provide dedicated oversight for the company’s dual priorities: rapid market growth and long-term research innovation. Board Chair David Wagner described the change as a maturation of the business, noting that the unified executive model previously in place could no longer sustain the company's current pace of development. By decoupling these functions, the board intends to accelerate the deployment of its proprietary Nuclear Magnetic Resonance imaging solutions.

Couturier, who served as COO for the past two years, plans to build on the commercial momentum achieved through recent market expansions and strengthened intellectual property assets. Meanwhile, Green frames his transition to the CTO role as an opportunity to deepen his focus on the firm’s core engineering and R&D agenda. The company maintains that this shift in personnel is a strategic investment in maintaining its competitive advantage in the industrial imaging sector.
