Schlumberger Foundation Names Nine Winners of 2026 Impact Prize
From rural STEM outreach in India to cervical cancer screening programs in Chad, nine women scientists are being honored by the Schlumberger Foundation. The 2026 Faculty for the Future Impact Prize selects leaders who have transformed their advanced research into practical, scalable solutions for their home communities.

Capella Festa, president of the foundation, noted that the program’s initial investment in individual education is now yielding a broader return as these women build institutions and open pathways for the next generation. The 2026 honorees include Dr. Darshana Joshi for her work with VigyanShaala in India, Dr. Angela Tabiri for the Mathsqueen National STEAM Circuit, and Professor Bridget Bannerman’s efforts to eliminate cervical cancer in Africa. Other recipients include Dr. Novalia Pishesha, Dr. Hifza Rasheed, Dr. Edu Inam, Dr. Tonthoza Uganja, and Dr. Zita Nodjikouambaye, alongside Dr. Chao Mbogo, who is developing mentorship infrastructure for technologists.
