The rebranding effort is part of a larger initiative by Group 1 Automotive to unify its national network of 251 dealerships and 32 collision centers under a single corporate name. Despite the new signage at the 1235 Mercedes-Benz Drive facility, the company emphasizes that ownership, technical teams, and customer service protocols remain unchanged. Chris Magill, General Manager of Group 1 Ford of Shreveport, noted that the move is designed to offer customers the reassurance of a national network while preserving the community-focused relationships established under the previous name.

Group 1 Automotive Rebrands Shreveport Collision Center
The Rountree Collision Center in Shreveport has officially transitioned to the Group 1 Collision Shreveport brand. This shift, which took effect March 11, 2026, aligns the local facility with the broader identity of its Houston-based parent company while maintaining the existing staff and repair operations for the Ark-La-Tex region.

The facility continues to provide a full suite of services, including collision repair, body work, and refinishing for the Shreveport and Bossier City areas. By integrating into the Group 1 platform, the center gains access to expanded corporate resources and standardized operational practices. The transition does not alter the local repair team’s commitment to the area, ensuring that clients interact with the same estimators and technicians who managed the shop prior to the name change.
