The company confirmed on Thursday that the security incident specifically impacted systems linked to production, though operations at fairlife facilities in Canada remain unaffected. Coca-Cola is currently evaluating the broader implications of the breach, noting in a securities filing that it has not yet determined if the ransomware event will have a material impact on its financial health.

Fairlife, which produces a range of lactose-free milks and protein shakes, became a fully owned subsidiary in 2020 after Coca-Cola acquired the remaining stake from partner Select Milk Producers. The incident arrives during a period of significant expansion for the brand, including a planned 650 million dollar investment to scale up production capacity at the fairlife plant in Coopersville, Michigan.
