This collaboration bridges the gap between enterprise-grade video management and specialized capture hardware. By supporting the Pearl Nexus, Pearl Mini, and Pearl-2 devices, Echo360 aims to reduce the complexity of classroom deployments while helping institutions maximize their existing technology budgets. According to Echo360 CEO Murad Velani, the goal is to provide hardware freedom without sacrificing the consistency of the user experience.

Echo360 Expands Classroom Capture with Epiphan Pearl Integration
Institutions can now pair EchoVideo software with Epiphan Pearl hardware, marking a shift toward more flexible audiovisual setups in higher education. The integration, which follows a successful early access period, allows universities to manage diverse capture appliances through a single, centralized platform to streamline campus-wide lecture recording.

Early adopters, including McMaster University, have already integrated the systems into their AV strategies. Brad Leenstra, an AV and IT specialist at the university, noted that combining app-based content management with centrally managed device presets simplifies the configuration process. This flexibility allows IT departments to scale their lecture capture footprint across various learning environments while maintaining a unified workflow for instructors and staff.
