Aecon Consortium Wins C$815 Million Winnipeg Wastewater Contract
A consortium led by Aecon Group has secured an 815 million Canadian dollar contract to overhaul Winnipeg’s oldest and largest wastewater treatment facility. The project, aimed at upgrading the North End Water Pollution Control Centre, marks a significant infrastructure push to modernize the city’s aging environmental processing capabilities.

Operations at the upgraded facility are scheduled to commence in the final quarter of 2030, with the entire project slated for completion in the second quarter of 2031. Aecon expects to record its portion of the contract value in its construction backlog during the third quarter of this year.
