Beginning July 21, Coast Guard Mutual Assistance will release one video each weekday, counting down from the tenth most impressive mission to the top selection. The series features diverse operations ranging from Great Lakes icebreaking and high-stakes interdictions by HITRON to heavy-weather aviation training in the Pacific Northwest and long-range maritime security patrols. The final People's Choice winner will be announced August 5, immediately following the Coast Guard's 236th anniversary.

Coast Guard Revives Fan-Favorite Video Competition After Decade Hiatus
After a nearly ten-year absence, the U.S. Coast Guard Top 10 Videos of the Year competition returns this week. The two-week countdown, presented by Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, highlights the service's most compelling rescues, patrols, and training missions while inviting public participation through social media engagement and charitable contributions.

Beyond simple viewership, the competition serves as a public awareness campaign and a fundraiser for the service's relief society. Supporters can cast votes by interacting with content on social media, with the option to amplify their influence through donations. Every dollar contributed to a specific video provides five votes for that entry, directly funding grants and interest-free loans for service members facing financial crises. Last year alone, the organization distributed $12.1 million to over 4,000 members of the Coast Guard community. Each featured clip is accompanied by an in-depth story at MyCGMA.org, offering a look at the personnel behind the machinery.
