Dan Malarek Named CEO of Roche Diagnostics North America
Roche has appointed Foundation Medicine CEO Dan Malarek to lead its North American diagnostics division, marking a major leadership shift set for August 1, 2026. Malarek steps into the role as current leader Brad Moore retires, taking over the Indianapolis-based headquarters to oversee the company’s regional commercial strategy.
Global CEO of Roche Diagnostics Matt Sause credited Malarek with the vision and operational track record necessary to sustain the company's regional growth. Malarek’s history with Roche spans nearly two decades, beginning in 2007. His tenure has included roles in molecular diagnostics, global marketing, and his most recent position leading Foundation Medicine Inc. Vera Grossmann, currently the Chief Operating Officer at Foundation Medicine, will step in as interim CEO while the search for a permanent successor begins.
