Dr. Beri brings a deep background in CMC strategy and technical operations to the CDMO, having previously held executive roles at Lonza Biologics, Immunovant, Goodwin Biotech, and Senda Biosciences. At Wheeler Bio, he will oversee the company's development organization, specifically focusing on the firm’s proprietary ModularCMC platform. His mandate includes refining the transition from cell line development through to drug substance and product manufacturing.

Wheeler Bio Taps Industry Veteran Rajesh Beri as Development Chief
With over three decades of experience guiding more than 70 biologics programs, Rajesh Beri, Ph.D., has joined Oklahoma City-based Wheeler Bio as Chief Development Officer. His appointment marks a strategic push to bolster the company’s scientific rigor and expand its capacity for antibody-based drug development.
Patrick Lucy, President and CEO of Wheeler Bio, stated that the addition of Beri is intended to improve execution in process, formulation, and analytical development. The company is positioning itself to meet increasing demand for U.S.-based biologics manufacturing by integrating Beri’s expertise in scaling complex development programs. Beri holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is expected to drive the company’s efforts to reduce risks for partners while accelerating timelines for clinical and commercial-focused projects.
