Agrace, headquartered in Madison, has long served southern Wisconsin before this recent move into the Iowa market. The expansion brings a multidisciplinary care team to Dubuque, consisting of a hospice physician, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, volunteers, and grief counselors. CEO Lynne Sexten noted that the decision addresses the rising demand for accessible, compassionate end-of-life support in the region.

Agrace Hospice Care Crosses Mississippi to Open Dubuque Office
For the first time in its nearly five-decade history, Wisconsin-based nonprofit Agrace has expanded its hospice operations west of the Mississippi River. The organization recently established a local office at 300 Main Street in Dubuque, Iowa, aiming to provide end-of-life care to residents in their homes and long-term care facilities.

Families and healthcare partners can initiate referrals for medically eligible patients seven days a week, including holidays. While a physician's referral is helpful, the organization accepts direct inquiries regarding services. Founded in 1978, the nonprofit currently supports over 1,600 patients daily across its various locations in the Upper Midwest. Those seeking information or an informational visit can reach the new Dubuque team at 563-220-2330.
