The acquisition integrates Flipturn’s existing portfolio, which oversees more than 250 megawatts of charging capacity, directly into Einride’s autonomous and last-mile delivery operations. By absorbing this technology, Einride expects to more than double its current energy under management. Flipturn’s software focuses on mitigating the volatility of utility pricing by optimizing charging schedules to avoid peak demand charges and time-of-use tariffs.

Einride Acquires Flipturn to Scale Electric Fleet Operations
Stockholm-based freight technology firm Einride is acquiring Flipturn, a specialist in energy management software for electric fleets, in an all-stock deal valued at $38.4 million. The move aims to rapidly expand Einride’s capacity for managing grid energy costs and infrastructure across its North American transportation network.

Beyond immediate infrastructure gains, the deal provides Einride with greater leverage to negotiate access to third-party charging networks by aggregating demand at scale. The transaction includes an earnout structure, granting Flipturn stockholders additional Einride ADSs contingent upon hitting specific performance milestones. Pending regulatory approval and standard closing conditions, the companies expect to finalize the acquisition by the end of this month.
