Iridium Posts Revenue Growth Amid Pending Rocket Lab Acquisition
Iridium Communications reported $225.2 million in second-quarter revenue for 2026, a 4% increase over the previous year, as the satellite operator moves toward its mid-2027 acquisition by Rocket Lab.

Operational EBITDA reached $119.1 million, slightly trailing the $121.3 million recorded in the second quarter of 2025. CEO Matt Desch noted that the integration with Rocket Lab’s launch capabilities is expected to strengthen Iridium's mission-critical service offerings. Following the acquisition of Aireon LLC in early July, the company is focusing on leveraging new space-based air traffic surveillance data to bolster its aviation safety portfolio. In light of the pending transition to Rocket Lab, Iridium management stated it will not hold conference calls for quarterly results or provide future financial guidance.
